This class was introduced in 2016 season as part of a move to bring our premier class more into alignment with the Australian Superbike class. Less modifications are permitted than with the current NZ Superbikes.
The appearance from front, rear and the profile of Superbike motorcycles must conform to the original shape of the machine with engine capacity of 800cc – 1300 4-stroke 2-3 cylinder maximum and 750-1000cc, 4-stroke 4 cylinders maximum.
