LONGSTANDING PARTNERSHIPS & NEW SPONSORS FOR 2019

Motorcycling New Zealand (MNZ) has renewed partnerships with some longstanding supporters of NZSBK for the 2019 championship and welcomes some new ones to the mix too. Honda New Zealand, MX Timing and Pirelli have been involved with the championship for a number of years, delivering high quality products and services essential to running of the series.

Honda will once again supply the official NZSBK Safety Car, complete with 2019 branding. It’s a crucial piece of kit for the series and ensures first-response medical support reaches any injured rider as quickly as possible.

MX Timing supplies official timing services for the championship, live timing via the CTAS platform and posts every lap time for every rider on MyLaps, along with race, round and championship results.

Nationwide Accessories, under the guise of Pirelli, backs a huge number of riders in the NZSBK field and has been a supporter of the championship directly for a long time. With tyre costs being one of the biggest expenses over a racing season, this support is invaluable in helping riders complete the series.

New partners for 2019 are Carl Cox Motorsport, ICG Print, and Resene Automotive and Light Industrial.

Carl Cox Motorsport is a great supporter of NZ road racing, fielding sizeable teams for the Suzuki Series, NZSBK, and supporting a number of riders at club level. It is helping develop facilities at Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park in Taupo and Carl Cox himself is the founding member and patron of the recently established Circuit Club Motorcycle Register, based at the Taupo track. The final round of NZSBK on 6-7 April 2019 in Taupo will be supported by Carl Cox Motorsport.

ICG Print was a sponsor of the 2018 NZMX Nationals and has extended its support to the 2019 NZSBK series. ICG is providing design services and printing of all marketing and advertising collateral.

Resene Automotive and Light Industrial will contribute financial support to assist with the delivery of the championship in 2019.

MNZ General Manager Virginia Henderson says she’s delighted to have these businesses on board for the forthcoming season: “There is an ecosystem of businesses developing around NZSBK and we’re grateful to have established these ongoing relationships to the benefit of our sport. I’d like to thank Mick Ruane from Honda Cars NZ, Nicole Bol from MX Timing, Alan Neiper from Nationwide Accessories, Gavin Sokolich from Carl Cox Motorsport, Dave Atkins from ICG Print, and Richard Muirhead from Resene Automotive and Light Industrial for making these partnerships possible. We’re looking forward to a great season of racing for riders, teams and fans all over NZ and beyond.”
