The Castrol Power1 Superbike Championships are run over 5 rounds and for 2010 there are 8 Classes of Racing.

NZ Superbike:

The big boys. The NZ Superbike class is made up primary with 4 Cylinder 4 Strokes of 1000cc. Modifications allowed to engine and suspension and able to run slick tyres. 2 Races per round  (Sunday only)

2009 Champion: Robbie Bugden

Open Stock Production(NEW CLASS)

 This new class for 2010. Is open to 1000cc  just like superbikes , except more restrictions and closer to stock production bikes. Run within the Superbike Class. Bikes must run DOT approved treaded tyres available over the counter in NZ. 2 Races per round (Sunday only)

600SP (Sports Production)

The 600SP class is for modified 600cc machines , they must run treaded DOT approved tyres. Tyre use per round restriction applies.2 Races per round (Sunday only)

2009 Champion: Gareth Jones

600STK  Stock Production(NEW CLASS)

 This new class for 2010 is open to 600 machines with limited modifications. More production bike orientated..The class will run with the 600SP class. Must run DOT treaded tyres and tyre use restricted per round. 2 Races per round (Sunday Only)

Formula 3

Open to highly modified machines. Less restrictions than other classes. 650 V twins , uptp 450 4 strokes and 250 2-stroke production based bikes.

3 Races per Round. 1 Saturday and 2 Sunday

2009 Champion: Glen Williams

650 Pro Twin

Open to 650 V-Twin 4 Strokes with minimal modifications allowed. Must run treaded tyres , and tyre use per round restriction applies.Run with the Formula 3 Class. 3 Races per Round . 1 Saturday and 2 Sunday.

2009 Champion: Sam Love 

125 Grand Prix

125cc single cylinder 2 strokes.3 Races per round. 1 Saturday and 2 Sunday.
